The Opportunity:
CACI is currently looking for a Databricks DBA with agile methodology experience to join our BEAGLE (Border Enforcement Applications for Government Leading-Edge Information Technology) Agile Solution Factory (ASF) Team supporting Customs and Border Protection (CBP) client located in Northern Virginia! As a member of the BEAGLE ASF Team, you will support the men and women charged with safeguarding the American people and enhancing the Nation’s safety, security, and prosperity. CBP agents and officers are on the front lines, every day, protecting our national security by combining customs, immigration, border security, and agricultural protection into one coordinated and supportive activity.

The ability to be adaptable and to work constructively with a technically diverse and geographically separated team is crucial. You should have worked with or have a strong interest in agile software development practices and delivering deployable software in short sprints
Responsibilities:
· Maintain Oracle RDS databases, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security
· Manage Databricks workspaces and clusters on AWS, including configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting for data engineering and machine learning workloads.
· Develop and implement robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies for both Oracle RDS and Databricks environments.
· Monitor database and platform performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning strategies to enhance efficiency and responsiveness.
· Collaborate with development teams to optimize SQL queries, data models, and Databricks notebooks for improved application and data pipeline performance.
· Implement and enforce security best practices for data at rest and in transit within Oracle RDS and Databricks on AWS.
· Automate routine administrative tasks and build efficient operational processes for database and platform management.
· Provide expert-level support for database-related issues, including performance tuning, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
· Stay current with AWS, Oracle, and Databricks technologies, recommending and implementing new features and best practices.
· Modernize the data warehouse environment by migrating the platform to Databricks
· Actively participate in Agile Scrum sprint planning, artifact creation, sprint testing, regression testing, demonstrations, retrospectives and solution releases
· Support the Functional Business, Application Development, and Security Technical Teams to provide O&M and Release Management support for landscape components
· Work in a collaborative team environment with other operational (OS, DBA, network, security, etc.) team members to troubleshoot and optimize performance
· Strong written communication skills to document implemented solutions or workarounds.

· Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass CBP background investigation, criteria includes but is not limited to:
o 3 year check for felony convictions
o 1 year check for illegal drug use
o 1 year check for misconduct such as theft or fraud
