We are currently seeking a Database Admin and ETL Development - Remote to join our team in Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

 

Responsibilities:

• Support databases in various environments. 

• Install, configure, plan and maintain systems. 

• Install SQL server software and configure for databases and provide resolutions for databases. 

• Coordinate changes to databases and troubleshoot SQL server node/instance eviction issues and document best practices. 

• Create ETL packages using SSIS/Informatica, Resolve ETL process issues. 

• Troubleshot databases, write T-SQL Scripts. 

• Plan, coordinate and implement disaster recovery, plan and security measures. 

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, engineering in any field, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years of experience in a related it occupation. 

• The employer will alternatively accept a master's degree in computer science, computer information systems, engineering in any field, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience in a related it occupation in lieu of a bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience.  

• The position requires 3 years of experience with the following: installing sql server in a windows environment.  

• Database performance tuning; optimizing sql queries; t-sql; relational dbms; data warehouse; xml; esb or soa technologies and integration;  

• Must have 1 year of experience with etl tools (ssis, ssrs reporting, informatica or business objects).  

• May work remotely.  

• Multiple positions available. 

Travel: No travel 

Degree: Bachelors in computer science or related field
