BHcare is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic providing comprehensive services to individuals and families affected by mental health, substance use, and domestic violence. Data is critical to the way we deliver care, measure success, and meet the needs of our clients and funders.

What You’ll Do
As a Data Specialist Intern, you will:
• Conduct client interviews and surveys to gather important outcome and assessment data
• Enter and manage data across multiple systems, including CareLogic, DDAP, and SPARS
• Perform chart reviews and internal audits to ensure data quality and compliance
• Track and monitor timely re-assessments and maintain accurate client records
• Support process improvement initiatives using both quantitative and qualitative data

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree (in progress or completed) in psychology, public health, science, health professions, social sciences preferred.
• Experience with data collection, input, and systems preferred.
• Demonstrated interest in working with mental health and substance use population.
• Interpersonal skills and organizational skills required. Ability to interact with staff at all levels of the organization.
• Technology oriented, experience with electronic health records and related applications required. Ability to utilize Microsoft Office applications, including Excel. 
• Ability to handle varied medical and social situations with confidentiality and sensitivity.
• Must have ability to work independently and with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to travel between clinic/s and other work sites, and flexibility to work at different sites throughout the work week.
