Introduction to the job

Data Science and Analysis team (DSA) is responsible for Model, Analysis and provide data to the organization for improvement and troubleshooting all technical and business operations. DSA interacts with all departments to improve their operation using data and analysis.  The DSA members uses SQL, computer program like Python, Statistical and data sciences algorithms like machine learning.  Preference will be given to highly motivated, self-managed individuals with a strong commitment to delivering innovative process improvements. This is an early career opportunity for someone eager to gain professional experience and expand their industry knowledge.

To be successful in this role one must possess passion for data and data analysis. Should have a good knowledge on accessing data from databases. Should have a good knowledge of data analysts technique  and eager to learn new techniques. 

Role and responsibilities

• Access data from various databases – Denodo, MsSQL, CDL etc.
• Discuss with the analysis requestor for understand clearly the analysis required and the mode of delivery.
• Communicate the results both verbally and written.
• Participate in program core team and complete the allocated tasks.
• Participate in technical presentations to learn various aspect of the operations.
• Work with department technical lead on the analysis method and tools for specific projects.
• Timely technical risk assessments, schedule estimates, and status reports.

Education and experience

• Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in data science, computer engineering, math/statistical.
• 2+ years of experience in data science strongly preferred.
• Ability to lead resolution of technical issues.
• Experience developing and testing machine learning applications required.
• Proficiency in Python programming language required.
• Ability to translate, statistically analyze data, and effectively report problems through written and/or graphical formats.

Skills

• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently, including preparing and delivering presentations, participation in purchasing negotiations as technical support, negotiating specifications and process requirements.
• Able to work cross functionally with personnel from various organizations to include Manufacturing, Engineering, Tech Development, etc.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent working with computer software including databases queries, modeling software etc.
• Astute attention to details.
