Data Scientist

IT Concepts is looking for an experienced Data Scientist to support SSA - Social Security Administration.

Become part of a team to help a large government agency support research and statistics efforts that help agency officials make recommendations on reforms. IT Concepts is seeking a Data Scientist.

The Data Scientist possesses an expert level of proficiency in multiple technical disciplines. Provides expert guidance and insight into specific technologies and their application and independently performs a variety of system design and integration tasks where a specific subject matter expertise is necessary.

Responsible for highly complex Information Technology projects and tools. Uses high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation and implementation methodologies on complex problems that require in-depth knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation. A minimum of 8 years of experience is required.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience deploying complex production projects and maintaining production pipeline.
• 8+ years of experience translating high-level project requirements into technical task.
• 8+ years of experience interpreting and presenting results from statistical analysis and machine learning models.
• 5+ years of experience with SQL, advanced queries, CRUD operations.
• 3+ years of experience with python (preferred), R or SAS in complex data manipulation, statistical analysis and machine learning.
• 3+ years of experience with git, bitbucket and/or other peer-collaboration tools.
• 3+ years of experience with data visualization tools/libraries for reports/presentations. Python (matplotlib, plotly), R (ggplot2, shiny), Tableau.
• 3+ years of experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP).
