Accenture Federal Services is seeking a data scientist who is excited about assessing problems, developing solutions, and solving national security related problems. Our team leverages technological advances for better performance in all mission areas—collection, analysis, and operations—while protecting against technological threats to the security of the customer's information. We are a cadre of information management, data science, and technology experts dedicated to revolutionizing the way we “do data”, while upholding proper protection, accessibility, and release mandates. The objective of our efforts is to accelerate the development and application of data science capabilities – including artificial intelligence and machine learning – to the customer's core missions.
Here's what you need:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience; or
a Master's degree in computer science or related field and a minimum of 1 year of experience or equivalent work experience - 2+ years experience as a Data Scientist or similar role
- Knowledge of analytic methods and methodological tools such as: applied mathematics, computer programming, and/or visualization
- Knowledge of Python and some of the following software/tools: SQL, R, Hadoop, Spark, Java, C/C++, Git, Bash, Tableau, ArcGIS, and/or Unix commands
Bonus points if you have:
- Proficiency in Python and other software/tools such as R, SQL, Git, Tableau
- Experience with Python libraries such as Pandas, numpy, scikit-learn
- Demonstrated experience working large volumes of data
- Knowledge of data collection methods, capabilities, and tasking process
- Ability to leverage multiple data management tools to organize relevant information
- Experience working directly with customers to identify and develop functional requirements
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Security Clearance:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
