Requirements

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic quantitative PhD students to join our internship program at Rokt. As a Data Science (PhD) Intern at Rokt, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of our business organizations (Analytics, Product, Engineering, Sales), products (Post-Order Marketing, Payments Marketplace, and Upsells), and customers (Publishers, Advertisers, and End Users). You will use data and analysis to solve product challenges that will have an impact on millions of transactions per day. You will influence product thinking with data and prioritize business impact.

Responsibilities

• Conduct large-scale data analysis to extract valuable business insights, recommendations, and products.
• Influence business thinking through communication and collaboration with cross-functional groups.
• Work closely with Analytics, Product, Engineering, and GTM to develop success and monitoring metrics as well as manage decisions.
• Work across our AWS Cloud Services
• Develop your professional skills through one-on-one mentoring from a Data Science Lead assigned to you over the summer

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Current PhD Student in Quantitative Discipline related to Data Science, including but not limited to Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, etc.
• Prior industry experience in a full-time or internship role.
• Proficiency in a coding language used for statistics and data science programming such as Python or R.
• Experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL).
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment.
• Analytical, collaborative, self-driven, and curious.
• Strong communication skills, including storytelling, influence, documentation, and presentation skills.
