About the Role:

Captions is seeking a manager to lead our data science team. As the Data Science Manager, you will lead a team of data scientists in developing and refining the way we measure our product and overall business. You will work closely with product teams to ensure that Captions delivers the best possible experience for our users around the globe. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading a team of Data Scientists that run experiments across the product and experience.

• Driving strategic insights to inform product direction and improve user experience(s).

• Providing technical leadership and building processes to support the growth and efficiency of the data science team.

• Partnering with engineering teams to build robust data infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience managing a team of data scientists.

• 6+ years of experience in Data Science, with a focus on product experience.

• Deep understanding of, and hands-on experience, with complex A/B experimentation within a consumer product organization.

• Experience working with and understanding consumer subscription lifecycle and over business model.

• Experience and familiarity with data pipelines and large-scale data processing.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings to non-technical audiences and influence strategic decisions.
