This is a hybrid position with 1 day onsite a week in Ashburn, VA.
To be considered for this role, the candidate must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain DHS CBP suitability clearance.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform exploratory data analysis using statistical techniques to identify significant trends, patterns, correlations, and anomalies.
- Leverage knowledge of a variety of statistical and machine learning techniques learned within school.
- Execute projects including those intended to identify patterns and/or anomalies.
- Research information as necessary and collect, evaluate, analyze and abstract data from different sources
- Collaborate with intel analysts, enterprise/application architects, database architects, and data scientists
- Brief project management, and outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences
Required Qualifications:
- Current full-time student pursuing a BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field with a projected expected graduation date no earlier than December 2026
- U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain DHS CBP suitability
- Experience working with SQL for data analysis
- Experience with one of the following languages: Java, R, or Python
- Academic experience developing machine learning models, performing data analysis and interpreting results
Desired Qualifications:
- Familiar with Unsupervised Machine Learning methods including Cluster Analysis (e.g., K-means, K-nearest Neighbor, Hierarchical, Deep Belief Networks, Principal Component Analysis), Segmentation, etc.
- Familiar with Supervised Machine Learning methods including Decision Trees, Support Vector Machines, Logistic Regression, Random/Rotation Forests, Categorization/Classification, Neural Nets, Bayesian Networks, etc.

- Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain DHS CBP suitability.
