What you will be doing

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for assigning and coordinating the workflow of data processing staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects.

Trains and mentors data processing staff members on computer operations and practices. Monitors the performance of staff members to ensure compliance with policies, practices and approved standard operating procedures.

Support training effort for distribution center operations team on all basic order pull, Stream Serve, and manifesting duties.

Develops and updates operating procedures to facilitate smooth functioning of data processing operations. Recommends changes in programs, routines and quality control standards as necessary

Reviews processed reports to ensure that they are accurate, properly formatted and free of errors.

Oversees the monitoring of SAP, Stream Serve and other applicable operating systems.

Acts as a trouble-shooter for any problems relative to computer operations or data processing results. Consults with appropriate Distribution Center management to ensure resolution of production issues.

Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with customers and associates.

Ensures that computer equipment is maintained and in proper working order.

Performs any data processing tasks as scheduled or necessary to meet deadlines. Tasks may include the following data processing jobs such as, end of day reporting, order processing including invoices and stickers, credit processing, new account set up and running miscellaneous reports and queries.

Assists in scheduling and monitoring data processing functions performed for remote Distribution Centers installed on the host computer.

Coordinates scheduled hardware and software maintenance with all Distribution Centers using the host computer equipment.

Day-to-day operations include SAP, Stream Serve and all other functions associated with managing the on-site hardware.

May be on-call outside of normal business hours.

Complies with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules and regulations.

25% travel required

Performs related duties as assigned.

What your background should look like 

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor’s degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires a minimum of five (5) years directly related and progressively responsible experience, including at least two (2) years at a supervisory level.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Advanced knowledge of SAP, Stream Serve, hardware and software skills including printers and CRTs.
  2. Ability to execute and understand computer software and changes in applications
  3. Proficiency with local area networks and network administration
  4. Strong analytical and PC skills
  5. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  6. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  7. Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
  8. Ability to meet deadlines
  9. Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
  10. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
