Data Engineer (m/f/d)

Your Contribution Are you passionate about building robust data pipelines and enabling data-driven innovation? As a Data Engineer, you will design and evolve scalable data platforms that power analytics, machine learning, and business insights across DISH. Working closely with product teams, data scientists, analysts, and engineers, you will help shape our data ecosystem and contribute to the digital transformation of the HoReCa industry. Menu of Responsibilities This role is part of our Data Insights Team, consisting of three Centers of Excellence (CoEs) and one Platform Team. You will be responsible for: Designing, building, and operating scalable data platforms and pipelines that support analytics, AI, and business decision-making. Delivering data products within cross-functional squads and translating business needs into reliable, cost-efficient solutions. Developing and maintaining batch and real-time data processing solutions on Google Cloud using modern ETL/ELT practices. Establishing data engineering standards, guardrails, and best practices that enable safe experimentation while protecting production environments. Enabling AI and machine learning initiatives through the adoption of Vertex AI, Model Garden, and GenAI orchestration frameworks. Developing integrations, APIs, and workflow orchestration processes to ensure reliable and scalable data movement across systems. Ingredients for Success Proven experience designing and operating distributed data systems and processing large-scale datasets. Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with working knowledge of Java and software engineering best practices. Hands-on experience with Google Cloud technologies, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Cloud Run, and Pub/Sub. Experience building and orchestrating data pipelines using tools such as DBT, Airflow, Spark, and API-based integrations. Familiarity with machine learning and GenAI technologies, including Vertex AI, Model Garden, LangChain, or similar orchestration frameworks. Fluent English communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
