POSITION OVERVIEWReporting to the Program Manager, the Data Engineer plays a pivotal role in optimizing ETL and ELT pipelines. Responsible for working with data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and data lakes.

POSITION OVERVIEWReporting to the Program Manager, the Data Engineer plays a pivotal role in optimizing ETL and ELT pipelines. Responsible for working with data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and data lakes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Experience leading Data pipeline projects and mentoring Jr Engineers
- Proficient in optimizing ETL and ELT pipelines with tools such as Apache, Airflow, Spark, dbt, Kafka, Databricks and/or Flink
- Responsible for working with data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and data lakes
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Active IRS MBI
- 3-5+ years of experience in data engineering or backend data systems
- Experience leading Data pipeline projects and mentoring Jr Engineers
- Expertise with Cloud Platforms such as AWS, GCP and/or Azure
- Experience with orchestration and with CI/CD and data versioning
