Data Center Technician

Initial few weeks may be M-F, 8AM-5PM (Training)

Then will transition to 4x10 shifts and needs to be available for the following shifts:

Sun-Wed 7 AM - 6 PM (4x10)

Sun-Wed 9 AM - 8 PM (4x10)

Wed-Sat 7 AM - 6 PM (4x10)

Wed-Sat 9 AM - 8 PM (4x10)

This is a long-term ongoing Datacenter Tech opportunity. They will work in the build out and support of a datacenter. They must be open to installation and deployment workload as well.

Level 2:

- Troubleshoot a variety of servers and isolate the problem that the server is encountering.

- Order replacement parts and install them in servers and ship back the defective part to their respective vendors.

- Update firmware on servers to ensure the latest version is installed.

- Configure IP addresses and default login credentials on servers.

- Reach out and assist network admins on any issues they are having with a server that can range from: replacing broken or damaged cables, re-routing cables to different ports on the server or switch, replacing optics on both server and switch ports, changing out parts and installing upgraded versions of those parts in servers. And supporting their DC/Lab teams.

- Temporarily rack and stack a server or switch in a cabinet and cable it so the network admin can remotely log in and run configurations on device.

- Assist network admins who reach out requesting specific assistance with servers or switch.

- Assist out with Level 1 responsibilities as necessary.

Must work 4x10 schedule (Wed-Sat and Sun-Wed)

2+ years of DC Tech experience

Diagnosing, Troubleshooting, Isolating issues on servers (isolate break/fix issues)

Rack/Stack and configuration of servers and other DC gear

Hands on wiring/cabling

Collaborating with network teams as needed

Experience in any Liquid Cooled environment is huge add.

It is critical that that all submittals be true L2 break/fix

This is L2 troubleshooting installs and ops. It is not remote hands or people being walked through tickets by engineers who already did the troubleshooting.

2 recent valid references are required.

This is a Contract position based out of Santa Clara, CA.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $36.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Santa Clara,CA.
