About the Role

CBRE is seeking a Data Center Technician to join our Critical & Technical Services team. In this role, you will perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a critical data center environment. You will play a key role in ensuring operational reliability, safety, and performance across electrical and engineering systems.

What You'll Do

Assist with daily site inspections of all mechanical and electrical systems, including servicing and maintenance

Ensure the facility maintains safe and optimal environmental conditions

Respond to Building Management System (BMS) alarms and carry out emergency repairs

Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across all equipment

Monitor BMS systems and respond to HVAC and technical issues

Conduct building walkthroughs and take meter readings from UPS, PDUs, and utilities

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve facility and plant faults and defects

Work with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with CBRE processes and regulations

Escalate any subcontractor performance issues against service agreements

Maintain accurate maintenance logs and perform routine quality checks

Follow all health, safety, and compliance standards

Complete all required training and certifications

What You'll Need

Technical training (apprenticeship or equivalent) with 1-2 years of relevant experience

Electrical competence is required

Ability to work shifts, including weekends and holidays

Ability to meet the physical demands of the role

Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders and team members

Ability to follow defined procedures and work standards

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset

Basic math skills (percentages, calculations, etc.)
