Duties and Responsibilities

The Data Processing Manager reports to the Enterprise Data Manager for the Bureau of Enterprise Data Management. This position supervises the Oracle database team, which is primarily focused on supporting the Department’s Oracle database needs.  This position is also responsible for defining future enterprise data architecture vision, strategy, principles and standards for the Oracle environment.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Skill in data or information architecture
• Skill in supervising or leading technical staff.
• Skill in database administration, design and data modeling
• Skill in Oracle database administration
• Skill with data migration including validation, clean-up and mapping
• Knowledge of Oracle software installation, patching, and upgrading
• Knowledge of Oracle Backup and Recovery
• Knowledge of SQL, SML and XSLT
• Knowledge of data/information security, privacy and protection initiatives
• Knowledge of ETL, data warehousing, reporting and analytics
