Job Description:
• Assist our new Utility Industry clients to perform data migrations from third-party legacy systems and databases into the VertexOne VxCIS system.
• Educate and train clients to understand our data templates.
• Process the template data provided by the client to analyze and validate data quality using KNIME tool development.
• Perform extensive data validations using KNIME and migrations into IBM i DB2 database using customized SQL scripts on complex and large client data within.
• Conduct various data extraction and migration workshops for utility clients to better understand the system, identify gaps, provide recommendations, and map their utilities business processes and help them extract their data based on system’s requirements.
• Perform minor data transformation and cleansing of sufficient quality data.
• Create self-service BI tools to allow utilities users to analyze data across various business dimensions with detailed visibility into granular and historical data.
• Develop and utilize SQL and Microsoft Access VBA scripts to maintain complex and large client databases.
• Extract and load utilities data, create appropriate test plans, Q/A processes, and test cases to ensure data accuracy using SQL. Collaborate with client company project stakeholders and data extractors.
• Provide detailed reports on data quality issues to all key data migration project stakeholders.
• Continually improve the KNIME and SQL script processes to improve data validations, accuracy, and performance.
• Position requires 100% telecommuting; employee’s work location can be anywhere in the United States.
Education Required:
Master’s degree in computer science, data science, data analytics engineering or related
Job Duties:
Two (2) years of experience as a Data Analyst, SAP Consultant, or related
Special Skills Required:
Must have work experience with the following:
(1) Perform extensive data validations using KNIME and migrations into IBM i DB2 database using customized SQL scripts on complex and large client data within regulated and deregulated energy market.
(2) Conduct various data extraction and migration workshops for utility clients to better understand the system, identify gaps, provide recommendations, and map their utilities business processes and help them extract their data based on system’s requirements.
(3) Create self-service BI tools to allow utilities users to analyze data across various business dimensions with detailed visibility into granular and historical data, while leveraging experience with utilities (gas, electric, water, sewer, refuse).
(4) Extract and load utilities data, create appropriate test plans, Q/A processes, and test cases to ensure data accuracy using SQL. Position requires 100% telecommuting; employee’s work location can be anywhere in the United States.
