Data Architect

JANUS Research Group is seeking a Data Architect to design a system's data models, data flow, interfaces, and infrastructure to meet the information requirements of a business or mission.

• Develop and implement overall organization data strategy that is in line with business processes and objectives.
• Identify data sources, both internal and external, and work out a plan for data management that is aligned with the data strategy.
• Monitor and optimize the data infrastructure.
• Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating operations, applications, and programming.
• Prepare database design and architecture reports.
• Advise higher level leadership on critical data management issues.
• Consult with customers and key stakeholders to evaluate functional requirements for Artificial Intelligence and data applications.
• Collaborate with appropriate personnel to address classified data requirements and configure technical solutions to provide data integrity and security.
• Provide recommendations on new database technologies and architectures.
• Evaluate data storage requirements, prepare, and implement data backup, recovery and secondary data storage and disaster recovery.
• Plan and manage effective storage capacity strategies.
• Confer with systems analysts, engineers, system owners, etc… to design applications for data management.
• Analyze and plan for anticipated changes in data capacity requirements.

You Have:

• Experience developing and implementing overall organization data strategy in line with business processes and objectives

• Experience identifying data sources, both internal and external, and working out a plan for data management in line with the data strategy

• Experience examining and identifying database structural necessities by evaluating operations, applications, and programming

• Ability to advise higher level leadership on critical data management issues

• Ability to consult with customers and key stakeholders to evaluate functional requirements for artificial intelligence and data applications

• Ability to evaluate data storage requirements and prepare and implement data backup, recovery, and secondary data storage and disaster recovery

• TS/SCI clearance

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Management or IT

• DoD IAT Level II Cyber Certification

Location: Quantico, Building 2076/2084 gov facility

Clearance: TS/SCI

Salary: $180k
