We need a data expert like you to bring your expertise to improve the veterans’ experience.

As a client-facing data analyst on our Health team, you’ll work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. Not only will you provide a deep understanding of their data, but you’ll also advise your client on what the information means and how it can be used to make an impact on modernizing government technologies.

You Have: 

• Experience with Cloud-native database solutions, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Relational Database Service (RDS), and Amazon Redshift

• Experience with scripting language, including Python, PowerShell, Shell Scripting, Ansible, Terraform, Go, Ruby, Bash, and Perl

• Experience with a complex build system 

• Experience with supporting Linux systems engineering efforts in system design and evaluation, solution engineering, software development, or system administration 

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies or the software development life cycle (SDLC) 

• Knowledge of data structures

• Ability to research independently, challenge and verify data, and provide recommendations and requirements for technical solutions

• Ability to design and develop complex SQL queries and reports to retrieve required data, and troubleshoot data discrepancies

• Public Trust

• HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have: 

• Experience with Git and Github source control tools

• Experience with code reviews on SQL change sets

• Experience working with developers to create and enforce best practices

• Experience with security scanning tools, configuring their use, and working with teams to fix vulnerabilities  

• Experience with ETL and Data Warehousing methods

• Experience with Power BI or Tableau

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to work independently or in cross-team situations
