- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in data analysis and/or data engineering in a cross-functional environment with aggressive delivery deadlines.
- Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and relational databases as they apply to Microsoft SQL,
- Amazon RDS or MySQL.
- Experience with understanding, writing, and optimizing complex SQL queries
- Experience with cloud-based business intelligence platform (e.g. AWS QuickSight, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.).
- Coding skills with Python and understanding of basic libraries for machine learning
- Reporting and data visualization skills, ability to visualize data in the most effective way possible for a given project
- Experience with machine learning
Good to have
- Broad understanding of healthcare systems and data and their interdependencies and relationships.
- Experience working with HIPAA-compliant systems and data.
- Understanding of health care terms such as ICD10 codes, Insurance/Payor classes, Service Lines/Types, ACA, CMS etc.
- Using SQL and/or other data collection tools, provide reporting on various inquiries
- Assembling large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements
- Identifying, designing and implementing internal process improvements including optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes
- Understand and maintain machine learning based predictive models
- Maintaining infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data source
