- Processes monthly and quarterly employment and wage data.
- Research and corresponds with survey respondents on data issues as needed.
- Follows government operational procedures.
- Formats and imports data files into government approved software applications and databases.
- Follows government approved procedures for data analysis, editing and coding.
- Meets government designated data production requirements.
- Maintains standards for data quality.
- Research and write correspondence in reply to state workforce agency data related questions.
- Gathers data from various sources and ensures its quality by identifying and correcting errors.
- Performs statistical analysis, identifying patterns, and drawing conclusions from data.
- Creates charts, graphs, and other visual representations to communicate findings effectively.
- Generate reports and presentations to share insights with stakeholders.
- Use data to identify and solve business problems.
- Provides data-driven recommendations to inform strategic decisions.
- Works with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable insights.
- Manage and improve existing reporting systems and processes.
- Performs mentoring of new and junior staff.
- Completes all assigned ancillary tasks.
- Provides complete and timely information via notes and email on problem cases and solutions.
- Assignments are comprised of the most difficult firms/files provided to the Contractor by the government.
- Import files into databases and transmit processed confidential data to remote computer systems using approved data transfer software.
- Trains new employees assigned, using government provided training material.
- High School diploma or equivalent plus three years of relevant experience.
- Successfully completed a minimum of two years at the EDI Center and consistently demonstrates an expert application of skills.
- Expected to acquire additional technical and PC skills.
- Two years’ experience using Microsoft Office tools --Must be proficient in the use of MS Excel.
- Two years’ experience using the internet for research.
- Proficiency in statistical techniques and data analysis tools.
- Proficiency in statistical software, SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and other relevant technologies.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
