How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare:
The Analyst interacts on a daily basis with internal and external stakeholders to ensure supplier data integrity. The position deals with moderately complex and or time sensitive issues that can involve significant legal liabilities. Assigned duties include researching, analyzing and reporting of key quality, performance measures in support of department related initiatives. Utilizes internal and external data sources to support these improvement initiatives through performance monitoring and benchmarking. Responsible for review and maintenance of supplier master.
- Participates in obtaining desired outcomes for data and in department efforts to meet performance goals.
- Champion process improvement, adherence to the service model and knowledge base usage and maintenance.
- Champion performance standard measurements by tracking key metrics, integrating collaborative and customer service-oriented behaviors, and controlling efficient and effective policies and practices.
- Builds data collection and analysis tools on an as needed basis to support improvement projects or identified strategic initiatives.
- Develops customized reports and data solutions, supporting current quality and performance improvement projects and other strategic initiatives as directed.
- Applies appropriate statistical analysis to data sets based on project demands as assigned.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of all files and records.
- Coordinates, receives and or compiles data for Carilion's suppliers and payees.
- Serves on Shared Services Accounting Intake team as needed in various capacities. Assists with tasks that do not relate to payment processing.
- Accountable for organizing daily activities, work assignments or processes to complete projects on time.
- Establishes solid working relationship with Accounting Shared Services, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Compliance, Internal Audit, Tax and other departments/staff; effectively managing and maintaining the accuracy of supplier records to ensure all stakeholders have access to the most up to date information.
- Uses effective oral and written communication skills to respond to questions, implement changes, and support the goals of Carilion.
What We Require:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years relevant experience
Experience: Experience in statistical PI, quality or other clinical effectiveness related functions in hospital setting or clinical experience preferred
Other Minimum Qualifications: Excellent written or verbal communications skills. Knowledge and skills in data management/information systems required, knowledge of quality improvement and statistical analysis preferred. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to plan and organize work to meet time requirements. Demonstrated ability to work on team projects. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
