POSITION SPECIFICS
The Penn State Berkey Creamery is seeking a highly motivated individual to be the eCommerce Customer Experience Support Lead of the eCommerce department.
Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Team and Operations Management: Oversee the Creamery eCommerce team and daily operations, including hiring, scheduling, training, evaluating, and managing wage payroll employees. Develop and update staff protocols and procedures. Administer technical software for staffing, scheduling, and payroll. Adapt organizational structure to meet evolving divisional needs. Supervise all eCommerce projects and continuously improve operational efficiency.
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement strategic plans in collaboration with the Creamery management team. Set and monitor goals, enforce operational standards, identify and resolve issues, and execute improvement plans.
- Customer Service and Communication: Lead the customer service team to ensure timely resolution of inquiries and issues. Manage internal and external communications, including website updates, safety notices, and coordination with supply chain and distribution partners. Facilitate team meetings and propose improvements.
- Systems and Software Oversight: Maintain website inventory, process orders, print labels, monitor shipping costs, and manage invoices. Update product availability and pricing as needed.
- Inventory and Supply Management: Manage inventory and procurement of shipping supplies. Research and test new vendors and materials, negotiate pricing, and forecast future needs. Generate reports and recommend pricing adjustments.
- Marketing Collaboration: Partner with the marketing team to plan promotions, special packages, and forecast product demand.
- Safety Oversight: Enforce safety protocols and recommend improvements. Monitor air quality and CO₂ systems to ensure compliance.
- Backup Supervision: Serve as acting Food Service Supervisor during their absence.
