Grafana Cloud is our composable observability platform that integrates metrics, logs, and traces with Grafana. It allows our customers to leverage the best open source observability software – including Prometheus, Mimir, Loki, and Tempo – without the overhead of installing, maintaining, and scaling their own observability stack

The Infrastructure Observability team focuses on getting customers up to speed quickly by monitoring their infrastructure systems and software. We own the Grafana Cloud integrations which provide easy-to-use pre-built dashboards and alerts to monitor a host of popular observability targets as well as our SaaS integrations which are completely hosted solutions. The team is also responsible for our Synthetic Monitoring and Kubernetes monitoring products.

Our tech stack is mostly made up of services written in Go, running on multiple Kubernetes clusters that leverage Google’s Cloud Platform.

We are looking for an Integrations Engineer to join our remote team, currently spread over 4 continents. Integrations Engineers at Grafana Labs are a mix of software engineer, solutions engineer, and customer support engineer.  The team builds and owns the Grafana Cloud Integrations with the objective to make observing infrastructure as easy and seamless as possible for our customers and users.  A Cloud Integration is a package of Grafana dashboards, Prometheus alerts and agent integrations for a system under observation.  All of our integrations are based on open source mixins which we build and maintain.

Responsibilities

• Building out, maintaining and owning our catalog of Cloud Integrations.

• Being the observability expert for Cloud Integrations, supporting customer questions and ensuring we have great user documentation for each Cloud Integration

• Evangelize with the open source communities around Prometheus, Grafana, Grafana Agent, and our Cloud integrations, including contributing back, maintaining the integrations and extending the instrumentation in the systems under observance.

• Deliver product and technical presentations, write blog posts, record videos, do live webinars, and create other public and private enablement material.

What would make you a good fit for this role?

• Great written and oral communication skills to communicate with our remote first teams and worldwide users.

• You are self-motivated, detail oriented, and enjoy continuously learning and solving problems.

• Experience using Grafana and Prometheus is a must.  Familiarity with observability best practices and principles, monitoring and logging technologies is desirable.

• Familiarity with Git is a must. Experience working directly with users and interacting with open source communities is desirable.

• Knowledge of Cloud Native and DevOps technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, YAML, Jsonnet, or similar technologies) is a bonus.

• Basic software development skills, experience with Go is not required but would be an advantage.
