We are currently seeking a Global AI Director, Insurance - REMOTE to join our team in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

 

As an AI Director aligned to the Insurance sector, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our global AI strategy. You will collaborate with world-class AI and industry experts to drive successful client outcomes, accelerate business growth, and deliver innovative AI-powered solutions tailored to the insurance industry. Your expertise will enable insurers to transform their operations, improve customer experience, and unlock new business value through the responsible adoption of AI.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and oversee the execution of AI go-to-market programs for insurance clients worldwide, ensuring solutions are delivered with the highest quality, on schedule, and within budget.
• Develop and implement comprehensive AI go-to-market strategies that align with global insurance market trends and client business objectives.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to C-level executives and stakeholders, identifying their challenges and proposing innovative AI solutions that drive business impact.
• Present compelling AI use cases, success stories, and value propositions that demonstrate measurable impact for insurance clients—across underwriting, claims, customer experience, fraud, and risk.
• Collaborate with sales, business development, data science, engineering, and insurance domain teams to design and deliver scalable AI solutions.
• Establish and continuously evolve best practices, frameworks, and methodologies for delivering enterprise-grade AI in insurance.
• Mentor and inspire global teams of AI professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and ongoing learning.
• Represent the company at industry events, contribute to white papers, and lead client workshops to establish thought leadership in AI for insurance.
• Stay at the forefront of AI advancements—especially in GenAI, LLMs, and insurance-specific applications—and integrate relevant innovations into offerings.
• Partner with sales teams on client presentations, solution demos, and proposal development to win new business and expand client relationships.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality AI solutions that exceed client expectations, building long-term partnerships and driving high client satisfaction.
• Champion responsible AI practices, ensuring solutions comply with relevant regulations and ethical standards in the insurance sector.

Basic Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience designing and delivering data and AI solutions using leading cloud providers and platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, AWS Sagemaker/Bedrock, GCP Vertex AI, Azure AI).
• 10+ years hands-on experience with large-scale data solutions, including data strategy, preparation, quality, ETL, and visualization.
• 4+ years leading end-to-end AI/ML solution delivery, preferably in the insurance industry.
• 3+ years of experience building and deploying AI models using frameworks such as PyTorch, and programming with Python or similar languages.
• 1+ years of experience with GenAI, advanced RAG, agentic frameworks, GANNs, Transformers, and LLMs (e.g., GPT-4, Llama).
• Ability to travel 50%.

Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on experience with LLM architectures and fine-tuning for insurance-specific applications.
• Deep understanding of generative models, GANs, and transformer-based architectures.
• Knowledge of ethical AI standards, regulatory requirements, and responsible AI best practices in insurance.
• Advanced proficiency in AI/ML programming languages and tools.
• Track record of delivering AI solutions that drive measurable business outcomes in the insurance sector.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is [annual salary range or hourly range]. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
