Sales Analyst

What will you do?

A day in the life of a Sales Analyst at Timberland looks a little like this.

You will be responsible for collecting, interpreting and analyzing data, advising trends to drive decision-making and optimization of business processes. Supporting the day-to-day operations of the business, interacting with multiple departments to achieve efficiencies and develop and document streamlined processes, you’ll be a trusted member of the PRO Sales Operations team. You will report to the Senior Manager, Sales Operations & Analysis. 

Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

  • Facilitate end-to-end report development, guiding projects from conceptualization to live deployment
  • Conduct a thorough assessment of current reporting to streamline and consolidate where possible
  • Collect data from various systems including, but not limited to:  Systems, Applications & Products (SAP), Business Objectives (BOBJ), Elastic (B2B), and FlexPLM (Product Lifecycle Management   
  • Clean and prepare the data for analysis; analyze the data to identify trends, anomalies, and patterns in consideration of business goals and objectives
  • Interpret the results of the analysis with reports and dashboards, communicating findings to key stakeholders through clear visualizations and summaries
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide data-driven insights
  • Manage the wholesale operational seasonal calendar and task list for successful and timely delivery of sales tools for current and upcoming season(s)

What do you need to succeed?

We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 1-3 years of experience and professional achievements. 

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

  • Knowledge and experience with applying data visualization techniques and tools such as MS Power BI
  • Microsoft Office – advanced Excel skills; the ability to collect, analyze, interpret, build relationship models including databases, pivot tables, and macros 
  • Solid navigational and editing experience with Microsoft SharePoint 
  • Strong analytical skills with a strict attention to detail 
  • Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines; flexibility and nimbleness are key in this role 
  • Strong written and verbal communication; the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization 

There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.

  • Experience with SAP and SAP BOBJ are a plus
