Temporary Customer Supply Chain Manager

Roles & Responsibilities

Customer Management

• Identify and resolve potential inventory shortages before customers are impacted.
• Identify and implement structural solutions to strengthen Ichor’s supply chain.
• Build and deliver information on Ichor’s supply chain and supply chain performance for customer leaders and executives.
• Develop relationships with customer leaders and executives.
• Ensure contractual alignment between Ichor, customers and suppliers.

Inventory Management

• Build cost-effective supply chain resiliency to maximize competing priorities, on-time delivery and inventory turns.
• Support and expand vendor-managed inventory.

Supplier Management

• Assist in defining commodity strategies and the selection of suppliers in line with customer priorities.
• Manage key supplier relationships as necessary, focusing on cost optimization, continuity of supply and resolution of problems.
• Collaborates with relevant functions on first article plans for second sourcing and initial qualification as necessary.

Supply Chain Project Management

• Identify or lead continuous improvement opportunities across the global supply chain.
• Drives process improvements and resolves complex supply chain issues.

 

Leadership

Within project teams, foster a culture of accountability & commitment to stated goals and objectives.  Ensure an organizational culture of transparent communication, early visibility / escalation of issues, and urgency for corrective action by emphasizing root cause understanding and continuous improvement.

• Complete knowledge of all aspects of purchasing, supplier selection, cost analysis and negotiation, planning, master scheduling and program management

• Ability to concisely communicate escalations, requirements and issues to suppliers, stakeholders, peers and upper management with clarity
• Experience working in ERP & PLM systems;  Oracle & Agile Preferred

Experience and Education

• Bachelor degree in business or Engineering.  MBA preferred
• Prefer a candidate that has experience across several operational disciplines in a new product introduction environment. Candidate will possess extensive experience in a minimum of two skills in the following areas:  procurement, planning, production management, master scheduling, factory engineering, logistics and program management.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in supply chain or NPI related function & 10 years operations experience preferred
• Experience in semiconductor preferred
• Strong understanding of contract manufacturing environment and management of global commodity strategies through a third-party provider
• Proven record of managing and driving Continuous Process Improvement activities. Strong analytical skills, ability to identify root cause for action/resolution
