Your Career

Our Cloud Management Platform group is in search of a passionate Full Stack Software engineer responsible to develop and design our scalable microservices used to activate all Palo Alto Networks cloud products.  The work is both challenging and rewarding.

We expect office-based employees to be in the office four days per week, with one day working from where they choose. We believe being together facilitates casual conversations and those magic moments where we can work on issues and ideas informally. These moments build capability and deepen trusted relationships and allow our people to feel safe in taking risks and being disruptive. Like so many companies, we are working through the details and things could change …. but in general if a role is deemed office-based we want our teams to be together four days per week.

Your Impact

• Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
• Design client side and server side architecture
• Develop and manage NoSQL databases and applications that scale for large amounts of data
• Write effective REST APIs that support versioning
• Write test-driven code
• Produce functional and design specifications
• Give suggestions and ideas for improvement in the framework
• Write Data Driven software and keep a generic design approach in mind
• Suggest new ideas and bring innovation to the team
• Going above and beyond to deliver, creatively solving problems in subject area
• Mentors and professionally develops team members at lower job levels

Qualifications

Your Experience

• Must have expertise in NodeJS with 4+ years of experience
• Must have ReactJS with 4+ years of experience
• Experience in TypeScript is a must
• Must have at least 5+ years of experience in software development with Javascript, HTML, and CSS
• Familiarity with common stack and data structures and algorithms
• Understands the basic fundamentals of data security and protection
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes ecosystem
• Experience with NoSQL database such as MongoDB is a must
• Good knowledge of NodeJS frameworks such as Hapi and ExpressJS
• Must have CI/CD experience
• Knowledge of various front-end technologies, libraries and tools including NextJS, Vue, Bootstrap, etc. 
• Experience in writing secure code is a plus
• Experience with public cloud platforms such as GCP and AWS is a plus 
• BS/MS degree or equivalent military experience required
