Central Office (Supply Employees) Food Service Substitute Assistant

The DeKalb County School District is currently seeking Food Service Substitutes for the 2026-2027 school year. Food Service subs are on call employees. If called, you will be required to work at least six (6) hours per day. Health benefits are not provided. Reliable transportation is a must. "This is a part-time position."

Title: Food Service Assistant Substitute

As a substitute, you will perform the duties of the permanent food service assistant. All applicants must be able to provide proof of a negative TB test or chest X-ray within the past 12 months and at least three (3) professional references. All selected candidates must attend a four (4) hour orientation meeting before they can be authorized to work.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma GED equivalent required.

• Minimum of one (1) year experience in institutional food service preparation preferred.
