The Opportunity

Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is part of Abbott’s Diagnostics family of businesses. It brings together exceptional teams of experts and industry-leading technologies to support diagnostic testing, which provides important information for the treatment and management of diseases and other conditions.

The position of Financial Analyst is within our Cardiometabolic business based out of the Lake Forest, IL location.

The Financial Analyst will play a key role in coordinating financial activities for CMI Global Manufacturing and QA/RA Operations. Responsibilities include managing the Plan, LBE, and Organic Execution Model (OEM) processes, and coordinating the consolidation and reporting for actuals and LBE. The analyst will also provide focused business support for the QA/RA organization and contribute to strategic projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the four CMI manufacturing sites and the supply chain network.

What You’ll Work On

  • Direct activities for CMI Global Manufacturing and QA/RA Operations, including coordinating financial activities such as Plan, LBE, Outlook, Confirm, and OEM.
  • Maintain and communicate master schedules.
  • Act as the primary financial contact and manage budgeting and actuals reconciliation for QA/RA cost centers.
  • Support the Controller with FP&A, reporting, and actuals activities.
  • Interface and coordinate extensively with cost center owners and operations leadership.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial plans.
  • Analyze and prepare presentations of financial materials for meetings with division and BU senior leadership.
  • Prepare monthly results schedules, reconciling between Plan/LBE and actuals.
  • Provide direction for the development of local master data.
  • Interpret financial results and recommend options based on data analysis.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning process by providing baseline information and financial support to non-financial managers.
  • Establish partnerships within the supply chain and operations organizations to acquire information.
  • Understand other viewpoints, cultivating open and honest relationships while promoting common goals.
  • Respond to ad hoc financial requests, supporting business and leadership needs.
  • Set goals and measure performance against submissions.
  • Ensure the integrity and validity of financial information, which is critical for making timely and informed business decisions.
  • Operate with significant autonomy, working independently and proactively navigating the BU network to accomplish goals/tasks.

Education and Experience You’ll Bring

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
  • 2 years of experience performing financial and variance analysis, forecasting, and planning.
  • Previous experience working in a geographically diverse business environment.
  • Working knowledge of Power Planner/BI, GPR.

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree(s) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
