The Work
Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems in Groton, CT is seeking a Field Engineer Associate. This role will support installation, test and maintenance of the new Navy Ballistic Missile submarines. The ideal candidate will work with crews on submarine tasks, advanced support maintenance, troubleshooting tasks and contractor tasks. The candidate will support training and familiarization of the Navigation subsystem as well as coordinate frequent communications/meetings with the customer and leadership under direction of team leads. This position will require travel and temporary duty (TDY) assignment. Assignment will include work at Electric Boat Shipyard in Groton, CT and at Barrow-in-Furness in the United Kingdom. Must be a US Citizen as this position will require a government security clearance.

Basic Qualifications

*Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline such as Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or Physics.

*Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.

*Communication and project management skills to support status reporting and customer meetings.

* Experience with development and review of test documentation and procedures

*Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access
