Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or equivalent practical experience.
- 20 years of business experience including 10 years of accounting experience in a similar role in the enterprise software space, supply chain management, or other capital-intensive business.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience leading transformative projects that will drive continuous improvement and have significant business impact.
- Experience with developing requirements, reviewing end-to-end processes, and contributing to and validating system design on implementations of enterprise financial reporting systems.
- Excellent end-to-end process orientation with problem solving, project management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to address issues, own the outcome, and continuously strive for excellent processes and deliverables.
- Excellent business partnering, influencing and presentation skills. Good business judgment, ability to communicate and partner effectively with executive business leaders and confidence to advocate for the right thing to do for the business and Google.

Google’s Acquire-to-Retire (A2R) Process Controllership covers the following fixed asset categories: Google’s Technical Infrastructure (TI), which manages data centers, compute, storage, networking, and services provided for/sold to internal and external users; Google Real Estate and Workplace Systems (REWS), which manages Google’s global real estate development and portfolio, facilities, and services that support employee wellbeing and performance; and Google’s Corporate Assets, which are tangible and intangible assets owned or controlled by the company that are used to support the administrative and general operational functions of the business.As Director, you will lead a team focused on end-to-end accounting, advisory and oversight for all fixed assets. You will have full responsibility for Google fixed asset financial close activities, segment reporting requirements, and management of all cost of sales, operating expenses and allocations hitting the profit and loss (P&L) internally and externally. You will oversee accurate accounting for global assets and liabilities, supporting centralization of accurate accounting for all worldwide spend and management of Google TI’s and REWS’ financial results and financial systems assurance for key finance systems. You will provide critical leadership in the design, implementation, maintenance, and oversight of internal controls over financial reporting in compliance with SOX standards. You will also provide business advisory services to TI and REWS on agreemnt-making, accounting, and tax treatments thereon, and supporting operational requirements and compliance needs, to help TI and REWS make the best and most complete business decisions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $304,000-$423,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
