Position Overview:

We're seeking a dynamic leader for our global Experiential and Promotions spend. As the Senior Director for Experiential and Promotions within Global Marketing Procurement, you'll spearhead strategic sourcing for global and key operating units (OUs). Collaborating closely with marketing, legal, commercial teams, and finance directors, you'll identify top activation service providers and suppliers to support our business strategy and brand promotions. You’ll ensure excellent negotiations, contract management, and ROI maximization. Reporting to the VP Global Marketing Procurement, you’ll manage a $1bn marketing spend across all OUs and be a key partner to the marketing community.

Please note: This is not a Remote role and will require the incumbent to be based in London, Atlanta or Dublin and follow a hybrid work schedule. This is a People Leader role.

What You’ll Do for Us:

  • Lead a team of 12 to manage negotiations, contracts and performance of promotional and experiential agencies, POS suppliers and integrators on both a global and an OU basis.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional teams, including Frontline, bottlers, legal, OU marketing, MPS, Global Insights, and Finance, to ensure business fundamentals in negotiations and final agreements. Manage diverse activities and projects, guiding the team autonomously through each stage of complex service delivery.
  • Ensure thorough approval and analysis documentation according to policy, consolidate deal terms for senior management presentations, and coach the team to achieve best-in-class negotiation and deal delivery. Develop innovative sourcing approaches using analytics to assess scenarios, benefits, risks, and change management impacts.
  • Maintain strong relationships with senior management across TCCC and bottlers. Align with stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes, develop effective remuneration and ROI models, and ensure maximum partnership value.
  • Provide expertise to leverage spend, increase value, and decrease costs. Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to identify and mitigate supply base risks, protect supply continuity, and capitalize on opportunities for TCCC.
  • Evaluate supplier competencies and competitive positioning with industry research and cost models. Build a central best practice information suite, benchmarking, and cost modeling approach, supporting continuous learning.
  • Leverage total spend across all OUs, developing a global partnership approach for competitive positioning. Manage and protect files and sensitive information per retention requirements, and meet company targets on savings, cash flow, sustainability, and people performance.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 15+ years of total business experience with experience in the procurement of promotional services, physical POS and data provision is strongly preferred 
  • Strong knowledge of promotional processes, approval requirements, manufacturing techniques, logistics flows and 3rd party service provider ecology is a pre-requisite
  • Experience of sourcing and managing global multi-market service provision leveraging global spend for OU benefit in terms of cost and OTIFNE data delivery for key stakeholders
  • Knowledge of business partners (such as customer, bottler, promotional agencies, POS service providers, POS suppliers): industry trends and competitive pressures, sustainability policies, responsible souring requirements, strategies and plans, talent, organizational structure, decision-making process, contacts, technology infrastructure and systems. 
  • Able to manage a diverse portfolio of relationships and projects, ensuring timely, budget-compliant, fully approved, and responsibly sourced delivery. Understand long-term business implications and balance immediate needs against future outcomes.
  • Highly competent synthesizing business terms into binding agreements, incorporating legal protections, and evaluating contract language to determine negotiable items. Explore negotiation options for win-win outcomes with outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to interpret, develop, and explain contractual obligations and benefits to clients, ensuring they understand the strategic implications for the company. Offer a broad perspective on the business environment from interactions with various departments and external sour
