World Relief seeks a Part time Finance Specialist to provide financial, budget and expense management support in the World Relief Chicagoland region. Reporting directly to the Budget Manager, this position also works closely with the Senior Finance Specialists and in conjunction with the Program Managers. Part-time -24 hours per week.

Role & Responsibilities

• Work with the Budget Manager, Program directors and partner with other Senior Finance Specialists to assist develop and implement assigned program budget and forecast
• Review assigned program budget expense monitoring with Program directors and management staff monthly for variance analysis and reconciliation.
• Create and maintain excel files for all assigned program funds to monitor spending against budgets. Maintain electronic files, including copies of approved budget contracts and amendments
• Monthly Grant reporting and reconciliation
• Prepare financial reports as requested for grantors and internally for WR Chicagoland
• Assist program staff with timecards and allocations. Ensure that appropriate codes are communicated to staff and available in electronic time management system.
• Maintain records and define allocations and recommend proper coding of employee expenses for the grants managed
• Provide general administrative finance support to Finance Team and Program Directors as needed

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Prefer previous budget management experience
• Effectively communicate financial information to non-financial staff

• Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Excel experience
• Detail oriented
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
