Business Analyst: Data Strategy 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Business Analyst to lead and support data-driven digital transformation initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT business analysis, advanced data analytics to optimize business processes and outcomes. This role acts as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure that digital transformation strategies are effectively aligned with business goals. This position will be a hands-on role and require someone who is a critical thinker, team player, exceptionally curious, a self-starter, with impeccable attention to detail and can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into functional and technical requirements.
• Work with data teams to define KPIs, design dashboards, and extract actionable insights from structured and unstructured data.
• Collect, clean, and validate large datasets from multiple sources to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
• Perform statistical analysis and identify trends, correlations, and outliers that support decision-making.
• Build interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and manipulate data efficiently.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and business teams to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
• Support automation of data collection and reporting processes using Python, R, or workflow tools.
• Work with engineering teams to improve data pipeline efficiency and data governance.
• Present analytical findings and visualizations to stakeholders through clear, structured storytelling.
• Stay current with emerging analytics tools, AI trends, and visualization best practices.
• Identify opportunities for applying AI to improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and decision-making.
• Actively participate in enterprise data governance activities to ensure consistent alignment, evolution, and adherence to standards across data sets.
• Support data owners, and 3rd party data provider partners on execution of, and adherence to, on-going data quality processes and ongoing data cleansing projects.

Candidate Desired Profie:

What should your background look like:

 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst with demonstrated experience in enabling Data driven decision making.
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Excel).
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases
• Working knowledge of Python or R for statistical analysis and automation.
• Exposure to cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google BigQuery) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Certifications related to AI/ML (preferred).
