Job Description
We are looking for a Cook to join our team and prepare delicious meals for our senior living residents, their families, and guests. Reporting to the Director of Culinary Services, the Cook's responsibilities will include studying recipes, setting up menus and preparing high-quality dishes. You should be familiar with sanitation regulations. The Cook will also be responsible for accurate record keeping, receiving, rotating and inventory of products and regulatory compliance. Ultimately, this team member will prepare and deliver a complete menu that delights our senior living community.

Location:Â Haddonfield, NJ
Base Pay : $22.00/hr - $24.00/hrÂ
Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepare delicious, high-quality meals for residents, families, and guests
- Assist the Executive Chef in all phases of meal preparation and menu execution
- Study recipes, set up menus, and ensure consistent food quality
- Prepare salad bar items, baked goods, breads, and desserts
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of culinary techniques and ingredient preparation
- Ensure compliance with all sanitation, safety, and food handling regulations
- Properly label, store, and rotate food items according to safety standards
- Assist with receiving deliveries, inventory management, and product procurement
- Maintain accurate records and support regulatory compliance
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment (e.g., food processors, dishwashers, convection ovens)
- Keep kitchen, equipment, and floors clean and sanitary at all times
- Perform scheduled cleaning duties as directed by the Executive Chef
Qualifications
- Maintains a current ServSafe certificationÂ
- One year job related experience including food preparation, full-line menu items and special diets
- High school diploma or GED accepted
- Competent in organizational, time management skills and demonstrate good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills
Physical Abilities
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
- An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. The associate must use proper body mechanics.
