Requirements for consideration:

Minimum Education:

• Master's degree in genetic counseling. 

Years of Experience:

• Two years of experience in genetic counseling with experience in inherited disease genetics, prenatal or cancer genetic counseling.

Certification Upon Start:

• Certification by American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC).

Job Responsibilities included but not limited to:

• Provides clinical counseling and genetic testing services for individuals/families at risk for inherited diseases or hereditary cancers.
• Conducts ongoing promotion of genetics counseling programs to physicians, patients and the community by developing written materials and public/institutional presentations.
• Develops and maintains protocols for genetic counseling and testing by including consent forms and processes to ensure patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Leads junior genetic counselors' psychosocial and counseling interactions with families. Supervises the documentation/communication from junior counselors directed to patients or care team.
• Designs and conducts surveys regarding satisfaction with services received, services provided and the impact of education.
• Other duties as assigned
