Purpose

Assist the Director of Operations with the department projects and basic operating procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with tracking project tasks in department software (SmartSheets). Assist with tracking and maintaining various department email accounts. Assist with maintaining the Director of Operations calendar. Assist faculty and staff with administrative tasks. Welcome and direct traffic at GWB.

  • Assist with opening and closing GWB and art gallery. Help coordinate all issues and repairs to the Gordon-White Building (GWB). Help coordinate office moves and the move-in process for incoming faculty and staff and in the submission of work orders, including service, construction, moving, surplus, and event requests.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree plus at least three (3) years of related clerical and administrative experience. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate to a large population. Demonstrated adaptability and history of service-minded approach to executing job functions. Success working both in a team setting and independently. Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent projects while proactively communicating to stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with more than three (3) years of relevant experience. Knowledge of University of Texas at Austin policies involving human resources and Workday. Operational experience working in an academic department/center.

Hourly Rate

$18.00

Working Conditions

  • Attire: Business Casual

Work Shift

  • Hours per week - 20

  • Work hours: Monday and Tues. 9 am-2 pm Thurs. and Friday 12 pm-5 pm.
