Overview

Work closely with the segment design leader (SDL) to manage up to 3 new product development projects, following the AOSNPD process. Managing the projects, from start to finish, so they are completed on time and within budget under limited supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Manage Project Plan/Timeline
  • Assist in development of project finances and manage them throughout the project
  • Resolve or escalate when project Plan or finances falls outside of project approved ranges.
  • Other tasks as assigned by project lead (SDL or Functional Manager)
  • Drives project cadence by ensuring tasks are on schedule and pulls Andon if needed.
  • Facilitate or participate in team activities and carry out necessary functions while providing the SDL with the appropriate feedback to ensure critical decisions are made in an appropriate and timely manner.
  •  Estimate the costs, resources, and time required to complete the assigned phase of a project and monitor activities, allocated resources and assign tasks to ensure these targets are met.
  • Conduct project meetings and keep Obeya room(s) up to date to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team.
  •  Allocates tasks, and coordinates project core team to meet project targets and milestones.
  • Responsible for project cost, schedule, and resource allocation.
  • Review status of projects and budgets and manages schedules. Assess project issues and coordinate with the SDL and project core team to develop resolutions. Identify and manage resource needs.
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Educations & Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Business, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years technical industry experience
  • PMP desired
  • 2 years of project management, engineering experience, or technical industry helpful.
  • Attention to detail and be very organized to manage multiple projects at one time.
  • Manufacturing background helpful to be able to troubleshoot systems. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and skilled in workflow and documentation process. 
  • Computer literate and be able to use a Microsoft office and variety of software packages. 
  • Self-starter and be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Able to provide written costs estimates, supporting narrative justifications, and proposals as necessary. 
  • Able to work multiple projects simultaneously in a lean administrative environment. 
  • Effective and proven relationship building skills.
