About the role
Kardex is a global leader in automated storage and retrieval systems, offering innovative solutions to revolutionize warehouse logistics. Our FulfillX software, specifically designed for AutoStore systems, drives operational excellence and efficiency. We are seeking a seasoned Manager of Cloud and Security to lead the migration of Kardex software products to the cloud and oversee product security for Kardex’s next-generation warehouse execution system.
The Manager of Cloud and Security will be responsible for leading and implementing the cloud migration strategy for FulfillX and ensuring robust security across the product. This role will oversee the end-to-end migration process while embedding a security-first approach in the FulfillX product line. The Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build a scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud-based environment.
Occasional international and domestic travel will be required with this position.

Your tasks
Job Purpose
- Cloud Development Leadership: Lead the strategic planning and execution software migration from an on-premises setup to a cloud-native architecture. Define the roadmap, manage resources, and oversee timelines and risk management of cloud-based deployments.
- Product Security: Establish and maintain security standards, policies, and practices throughout the FulfillX product lifecycle to meet the requirements across all regions where the product is deployed. Conduct security audits, manage compliance, and implement measures for secure development practices.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product, IT and regional business unit teams to ensure alignment of cloud and security strategies with Kardex’s product and business objectives. Drive a security-first culture within product development
- Continuous Improvement: Oversee DevSecOps practices, optimizing CI/CD pipelines and automation for secure, efficient software delivery. Establish metrics to monitor security, cloud performance, and operational excellence.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the efficiency and reliability of the cloud infrastructure and security protocols. Take responsibility for regularly reviewing and updating disaster recovery and business continuity plans, ensuring the product remains resilient and operational under all circumstances.
Job Requirements
Training/Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
Professional Experience:
- 10+ years in cloud infrastructure, security, or DevOps, including 5+ years in a leadership role with strong preference in the supply chain and/or automation industry.
- Demonstrated success in leading cloud migration projects, cloud architecture design, and security compliance in large-scale SaaS environments.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), DevSecOps practices, and security frameworks.
Technical Skills and Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.), and automated deployment tools.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, industry compliance, and best practices for cloud environments.
- Proven experience in CI/CD, security automation, and infrastructure as code.
- Familiarity with modern authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect).
- Experience in integrating cloud-based platforms with existing physical automation hardware, such as AutoStore systems.
