Registered Behavior Technician

Purpose

To provide behavior support and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to enable them to live valued lives in the community.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete the required pre-employment Background and Drug Screenings   
• Must possess a valid Driver's License which meets company standards for approved driver status
• Proof of company mandated insurance limits required
• Must possess basic computer skills                                                                                                                           
• Experience working in the field of Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities preferred with a focus on behavioral intervention training
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) required or agrees to become an RBT within 3 months of accepting position

Essential Functions

• Assists in ensuring continuity and integration of behavioral services throughout all disciplines using positive collaborative communication.
• Provides additional support to staff to assist in implementing behavior-analytic services and interventions.
• Collects, inputs and revises individual’s behavior programs and acquisition skills as needed.
• Conducts individualized assessments to gather data, identify areas of improvement, measures progress through graphing behavior data, and aids as extra support for community outings.
• Assists in ensuring staff are trained in individual’s behavior program, reactive strategies, positive reinforcement, and PBS and CPAM.
• Conducts in-service training with management/staff as needed, weekly visits to all homes, as well as monthly monitoring on implementation of behavior programs.
• Provides constructive feedback to staff and individuals through positive interactions, role modeling, and mentoring.
• Monitors required documentation and program data collected to ensure accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
• Reports feedback, trainings conducted and program monitoring data on a monthly basis to management.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
