Director, Women of Vision

§ Coordinate all advisory board operations, including meetings, subcommittee meetings and activities, and fundraising events.
§ Solicit members to join the Women of Vision Board by making gifts of $500 or more with a goal of obtaining 15 – 25 new members annually.
§ Solicit sponsorships, raffle, and silent auction items for all Women of Vision fundraising/special events.
§ Make 12-15 personal visits a month for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts.
§ Manage a portfolio of prospects ranging from alumni to community members for potential membership sponsorships and charitable gifts.
§ Develop and implement annual programming for the WOV.
§ Manage and maintain annual operating budget.
§ Develop and manage professional development programming to support the Women of Vision scholarship students.
§ Collaborate with the Special Events staff for space reservations, event design and logistics.
§ Create and help distribute communications for distribution to the Women of Vision advisory board and membership.
§ Assist with board events, including invitation lists, RSVPs, and event collateral.
§ Other duties may also be assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in fundraising/sales or volunteer/donor relations, with an understanding of philanthropy as it relates to not-for-profit organizations.

§ Superior organizational skills
§ Excellent writing and oral communication skills, including presentation skills
§ Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills
§ Strong initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
§ Ability to listen and respond with diplomacy and tact
§ Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
§ Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion
§ Proficient in MS Office Suite and database applications
§ Strong customer-service focus
§ Ability and confidence to communicate, interact with, energize, and lead varied constituencies to include a diverse range of audiences, such as board members, volunteers, internal staff, individual donors, and corporate/foundation executives
§ Ability to think strategically and translate to individual areas of responsibility
§ Ability and confidence to design, recommend, and apply creative solutions to meet objectives
Physical and Working Conditions
§ While performing the functions of this job, the individual will be both sedentary and, at times, active, requiring standing, walking in the outside elements, getting in and out of vehicles, bending, lifting, and/or arranging files and office products and supplies.
- Occasional evening and/or weekend hours may be required.
