Job Summary:

Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital is seeking enthusiastic new graduate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team! This is a fantastic opportunity for new nurses to gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment. As an RN, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients while developing your clinical skills in a fast-paced hospital setting.

New graduates will receive structured onboarding, mentorship, and training to ensure a smooth transition into professional nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered nursing care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Monitor patient conditions, assess symptoms, and collaborate with healthcare teams to develop care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and health management.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in patient records.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and assist in critical care situations (specific to ER).
• Provide behavioral health support and interventions for geriatric patients (specific to Geri-Psych).
• Care for post-operative and general medical patients, ensuring recovery and wellness (specific to Med-Surg).
• Work collaboratively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications:
✔ Current Texas RN license or eligibility to obtain before start date.
✔ BLS certification (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS preferred for ER & Med-Surg.
✔ Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
✔ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing patient needs.
✔ Willingness to learn and grow in a professional, supportive setting.
