Director, Health Economics and Outcomes Research
This role is responsible for leading the creation of real-world evidence to support Philips’ global business units. This role encompasses disease and market landscaping, observational and database studies. Partnering with Clinical Affairs and Market Access, the Director ensures compliance and engages with healthcare experts to stay current on trends. They also manage talent, advancing data management and developing innovative strategies for product success.
Your role:
- Leads comprehensive talent management, setting clear goals, providing feedback, and fostering a motivating work environment for the real-world data analytics team.
- Partners with internal stakeholders for effective real-world data governance and engages with Market Access to align evidence generation strategies for commercial success.
- Spearheads the development of real-world evidence, including disease and market landscaping, observational studies, and database studies.
- Provides valuable input into post-launch RWE study designs, ensuring clinical and economic outcomes meet stakeholder needs.
- Critically reviews statistical analyses in comparative effectiveness studies, leveraging extensive experience in advanced statistical methods.
- Engages with HEOR professional societies and healthcare decision-makers to understand their requirements and influence HEOR strategy.
You're the right fit if:
- You’ve acquired 8+ years of experience in conducting real world data analyses, claims data analyses, and economic evidence analyses required. Prior people management experience required.
- Your skills include strong knowledge of HEOR Methodologies, advanced statistical data analytics, epidemiology methodologies, and Real-World Evidence (RWE) strategy. Strong knowledge of Economic Evidence Generation, Real-world data Governance, and Needs Assessments also desired.
- You have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s OR Minimum of 6 years' experience with Master’s in areas such as Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical/Biotech, Healthcare Management, Consulting, Strategic Planning or equivalent required. PhD in the field of Health Economics, Statistics, Epidemiology, Hospital Economics or equivalent preferred.

- You’re a technically driven, data-driven thinker with strong interpersonal skills who enjoys providing strategic guidance to cross-functional teams.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

The pay range for this position in Plymouth, MN is $161,700 to $277,200.
The pay range for this position in Cambridge, MA is $172,480 to
