WHAT DOES A DATA WAREHOUSE SYSTEM ENGINEER DO?

WOULD YOU BE A GREAT DATA WAREHOUSE SYSTEM ENGINEER?

The Data Warehouse Engineer will gain a comprehensive understanding of the central data repository system and its components while performing server management tasks including setup, configuration, and maintenance. The Data Warehouse Engineer will conduct system upgrades and patches to ensure system stability and security and provide technical support and guidance to users and stakeholders as needed.

Additionally, the selected candidate will conduct day-to-day system checks and maintenance tasks to ensure system availability. Utilize SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance. The Data Warehouse Engineer will be required to collaborate with team members and stakeholders to address system issues and enhance system capabilities.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret//SCI with poly required at time of application.
• A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and fourteen (14) years of experience as an SE. Nineteen (19) years of SE experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to read and understand Java code for troubleshooting and customization purposes.
• Experience in managing SSL certificates, ciphers, and security protocols.
• Strong understanding of Unix/Linux environments and command-line utilities.
• Familiarity with data manipulation techniques and tools.
• Experience in application monitoring and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of server management principles and practices.
• Willingness to learn and develop strong understanding new technologies and products
• Manage certificates, ciphers, and SSL configurations to maintain secure data transmission.
• Investigate and analyze custom Java transformations within the system.
• Deconstruct APIs and utilize Swagger pages to understand and integrate with system functionalities.
• Monitor system logs for errors and performance issues; troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
