Lead a dynamic administrative team supporting Louisiana's Health Standards Section! This rewarding leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee critical licensing operations, improve administrative processes, mentor staff, and help ensure high-quality long-term care services across the state.

Examples of duties

Five years of experience in administrative services; OR

Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus two years of experience in administrative services; OR

A bachelor's degree plus two years of experience in administrative services; OR

An advanced degree plus one year of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties:
  • Supervises and provides leadership to administrative staff by assigning work, conducting training, coaching employees, and completing performance evaluations. 

  • Oversees Non-Long-Term Care (NLTC) licensing operations, including license verifications, initial applications, renewals, changes of ownership, address updates, and service modifications. 

  • Monitors licensing activities to ensure applications and related processes are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with applicable policies and procedures. 

  • Manages the collection, reconciliation, and processing of licensure fees, sanctions, fines, refunds, and provider payments within licensing and financial systems. 

  • Reviews financial and transaction reports, resolves discrepancies, and ensures the accuracy of licensing records and payment documentation.
