Where We Need You:
We are seeking a marketing and event specialist in Chicago to develop, manage and execute the Central Region marketing program for the Cincinnati, Columbus, Indianapolis, St. Louis and Kansas City Protiviti markets.
What You Can Expect:
You will partner with our practice and marketing teams to build an integrated marketing plan for each of your five markets and execute all client-facing activities with the intention of driving buyer-level engagement and generating business development opportunities for the practice. This position will report to the Central Region Marketing Lead.
What You Will Do:
You will effectively project-manage all marketing initiatives taking place within your assigned markets, including strategy, planning, execution, budgeting and post-event reporting, to drive business development opportunities for the practice.
You will produce a high volume of in-person, hybrid or virtual buyer-level events for the purpose of solution awareness, cross-selling, nurturing relationships and creating value-add for our clients.
You will manage the sponsorship and activation of professional organization chapters within your markets.
You will partner with practice leaders to execute specific account-based marketing events taking place within these five markets.
As the local point of contact for your markets, you will provide marketing updates on local leadership meetings to better enable and equip the practice to leverage our marketing program for their business development.
You will leverage various technologies to execute all marketing efforts and provide insight into marketing engagement to deliver a more effective marketing program. (e.g., Salesforce for campaign management and Bizzabo for event registration).
You will look for new opportunities to deepen existing relationships with clients and grow Protiviti’s influence with our targets.
What Will Make You Successful:
Impeccable project-management skills — very organized, extremely detailed oriented, and able to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines.
A strong understanding of event management and experiential marketing with a positive can-do attitude, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and demanding environment where flexibility is required.
Being a self-starter and quick learner who operates autonomously in a fast-paced industry while effectively collaborating and building strong relationships with all levels of a highly matrixed organization.
Time management and the ability to work on several initiatives at the same time, being able to prioritize their importance and urgency.
A proven track record of being a creative, strategic, and analytical thinker who solves problems.
A desire for a long-term career with multiple opportunities for growth within the organization
The business savviness and confidence to present in large management meetings, to local and regional leadership and clients.
Excellent budget management skills and the ability to negotiate with various venues, vendors and organizations.
The ability to collect data and feedback to report on the success of your initiatives and how to improve for the future.
Being a team player who is always looking for more innovative, efficient, and effective ways to better our marketing program and organization.
A willingness to travel locally up to 10%–20% to execute high-profile marketing activities and build relationships with leadership within your markets and the greater organization.
Your Educational and Professional Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field
3–5 years’ experience in marketing, event hospitality, project management or busine
