Phlebotomist – Clinical Labs

Work Schedule: 

60% FTE, day shift. This is a part-time position, 24 hours per week, 4:30AM – 9:00AM. Every third weekend required. Holiday and on-call rotations required. You may be eligible for up to a $1,500 sign-on bonus (pro-rated based on FTE). You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking a Phlebotomist to: 

 

• Perform standardized and specialized phlebotomy procedures on patients of all ages. 
• Ensure proper patient identification and specimen labeling. 
• Complete specimen receiving and specimen processing. 
• Patient check-in and order entry of laboratory tests in the laboratory information system.

Education:

Minimum – High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred – Completion of accredited Phlebotomy Training program and clinical rotation.

 

Work Experience:

Minimum – No related work experience required.

Preferred – One (1) year of experience in phlebotomy and/or healthcare 

 

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum – 

Preferred – Phlebotomist (American Society for Clinical Pathology) or equivalent
