QualificationsBush Hog is one of the most recognized and successful names in the Agricultural Market. The Machine Operator III is a key position in the Company and will support and contribute to the company goals of profitability, return on investment, inventory turnover, and accident prevention. The Machine Operator III, under general supervision, will set up and run multiple production machines such as but not limited to CNCs, Mills, Hobbs, Balance machines, Lasers and Lathes requiring high level of precision and interaction of multiple variables, to produce quality identical parts as specified by blueprints and procedures.

Essential Functions of the Job:
- Focus, communicate, encourage and contribute to Safety in all aspects of the job and all company meetings.
- Set up, adjust and operate multiple machines including CNC machines to produce parts as specified by blueprints and work orders. Maintain production quantities, efficiencies and quality on produced parts.
- Visually examine parts for quality compliance using high level precision measurements.
- Perform preventative maintenance on machine.
- Locate and move parts as needed using a forklift or walk behind lift.
- Ability to train others.
- May take lead of an area in the absence of a Team Leader.
- Perform all other duties assigned by Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):
- Capable of performing standard measurements using geometric tools (Tape Measure, Protractor, etc.).
- High level math and reading skills needed.
- Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions, able to make minor decisions involving some judgment and carry out instructions.
- Capable of performing decisive measurements.
- Minimum dexterity required for use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to operate under pressure.
- Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds alone and 100 pounds with assistance.
- Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED required with strong background in Math.
- 1+ years in the use of mechanical gauges and drawings.
- Prior experience as a Machine Operator II required.
