About the Role:

We are looking for a Manager of Auto to join our Capital Markets team, responsible for sourcing and maintaining reliable funding for our newly launched Indirect Auto business. This includes forming relationships with institutional investors, establishing and optimizing warehouse facilities, and developing a programmatic ABS strategy.

This is a hybrid role, in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays, reporting into the Senior Director, Capital Markets in our San Francisco office. 

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Establish a diverse funding base to support the launch of our Indirect Auto business
  • Analyze various Auto financing options to determine optimal funding strategy. Such options include warehouse facilities, securitizations, and forward flow whole loan sales
  • Understand and negotiate legal agreements related to Auto structured finance transactions
  • Provide analysis on Auto collateral performance by leveraging tools such as SQL and Tableau
  • Collaborate with internal credit, product, and operations teams to provide a best-in-class investor experience
  • Manage the onboarding of new institutional investors, warehouse facilities, and securitization deals, including operational setup and documentation review
  • Work with operations and engineering teams to ensure data integrity of investor reporting 

 

What We Look For:

  • 5+ years of relevant Auto capital markets experience
  • Advanced in Excel, SQL, and Tableau
  • Understanding of Auto lending and credit underwriting
  • Knowledge of Auto asset backed securities (ABS) markets
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Good judgment and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and a strong client service skills
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and recognize and focus on critical issues
The compensation range of this position in San Francisco, CA is USD $130,000 - $150,000 annually plus equity and benefits. Within this range, an individual's base pay will be dependent on a variety of factors, including without limitation, job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.   Upgrade has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States and Canada, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range could vary depending on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location.
