Full-stack Software Developer, Performance Engineering 

This position is a hybrid role (4x per week onsite) that will be based at our headquarters in Fremont, California.

Full-stack Software Developer, Performance Engineering will report directly to the Director, Performance Engineering & Controls. 

Job Description: 
This role will work as a full-stack software engineer on a PV performance modelling tool.  You will work closely with a variety of engineers from different disciplines to improve existing modelling capabilities, expand features, refine the modeling process, and address bugs and errors.

Job Duties: 

• Develop and implement new frontend and backend features for the modeling tool. 
• Analyze the tool's software architecture to drive improvements in the modeling process. 
• Conduct thorough and constructive code reviews. 
• Regularly audit code for inefficiencies, code smells, and opportunities for refactoring. 
• Assist in the software deployment process to ensure smooth releases. 

Technical qualifications: 

• Provable fluency in modern programming languages. Preferably in Go, Python, and Angular. 
• An understanding of modern software development tooling including Git, Docker, and cloud providers. 
• 3+ years' professional experience working on and delivering a software project with team members and long-term objectives.  
• Experience with full-stack development using REST APIs. 
• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or equivalent disciplines. 
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and PV performance engineering is a plus. 

Nontechnical qualifications: 

• Ability to turn high-level objectives into actionable tasks. 
• Happy to work in a collaborative, hybrid environment. 
• A desire to continuously grow professionally. 
• Great communication skills. 

 Pay Range (Applicable to California)

$100,000.00 - $150,000.00 dependent on level of experience
